Raised a Presbyterian in Oakland, California, Tyler Hendricks joined the Unification Church in 1973. After three years in the mission field, he studied religion at Unification Theological Seminary and Vanderbilt University, where he earned his M.A. and Ph.D. He co-directed the first Assembly of the World’s Religions, first Religious Youth Service, served as president of the Unification Church of America from 1995 to 2000 and of Unification Theological Seminary from 2000 to 2010. He is the author of the True Family Values Ministry curriculum, Family, Church, Community, Kingdom, and numerous sermons and articles. He is presently Ecclesiastical Endorser for the UC of America, co-pastor of UC Kingston and co-host of the radio ministry, Holy Marriage Blessing.
